How To Get All Badges in NBA 2K18
Because of high demands, you guessed it, we’ll do another NBA blog for you! However, this time the topic of the day are Badges. To be more specific, we’ll go through each and every badge currently in the game. We will explain what are they for, and how to obtain them. Before we start, we’d want you to know that this isn’t a thing you can do over night. Give it some time, do few badges a day else it will get pretty frustrating.
Some Badges are easier to obtain than others. Because of that, try to do the easy ones first. We can’t really tell you which is the easiest one to obtain for you, simply because it’s a matter of preference. Different people surely have different opinions on what is easy. Hell, even we at GameBag have different opinions on this topic, so that’s saying something.
Now, because there is a lot to talk about we won’t stall anymore…Let’s take a loot at those badges!
First of all we’ll go over Skill Badges since they are most noteworthy. When you open your Skill Badges you will see total of six Skill categories.
- Inside Scorer
- Outside Scorer
In these categories you have various challenges to complete. Here are all of them as well as their explanation. We’ll go over Inside Scorer First.
Allows you attempt difficult shots and change shots in the air. Acquired when you do 15 reverse layups and 5 change shot layups in one season.
Excels at making floaters and runners. Make 50 Floaters in one season.
Score multiple putbacks to get the putback king and improve awareness around the basketball after offensive rebound.
Pick and Roller
This will improve offensive awareness of the roller during a pick and roll. You’ll have to score as pick & roll man 100-200 times.
Physical hits on contact shot will not impact your energy as much if you attempt 75 contact layups and get this badge.
Execute 30-drop step moves to get this badge and improve drop step in the post.
Dream Like Up and Under
This will improve your accuracy in the post from up and under move. For this badge, you will need to attempt 50 up and under shots in a single reason.
Is known for knocking down threes from the corner. For this Badge try and get 25 3-point shots in a single season to acquire it and improve 3 point shooting from the corner.
Deep Range Deadeye
Try and hit 100 successful deep range shots while the ball is being contested. Doing so will improve deep range shot percentage.
This Badge requires 50 long-range shots before the hash mark. Completing this badge will improve deep three percentage.
To acquire this Badge, try to get 100-200 pull and hop shots that are contested. improve your tough shots off dribble percentage.
Pick and Popper
Scoring 200 times as the pick and pop man will unlock this badge and improve your pick and pop receiving capacity.
Make 200 shot attempts while your energy bar is red. Doing so will unlock this badge and improve effectiveness when high energy is being spent.
Catch and Shoot
Make 100 scores in a single season from catching and shooting to acquire the badge and improve the percentage of standstill shots off the catch.
The Anklebreaker Badge will require 200 ‘Double move leading to a score’ in a single season to complete it as well as to ankle break an opponent while executing dribble moves.
For this Badge you’ll need to successfully execute 50 flash passes in a season to unlock it. It will slightly improve passing to receivers.
Pick and Roll Maestro
Call for 150 screens in one season to get the badge. You’ll get to improve the accuracy of passes and shooting off screens when you initiate a pick and roll.
Lob City Passer
Execute 50 alley-oops in a single season to improve their accuracy.
Get 300 assists in a single season to unlock it. You’ll then receive the status of an elite passer.
Lob City Finisher
Lob City Finisher will require 15 successful lobs in a single season. After acquiring it you will slam home an alley-oop with better accuracy.
Requires making 15 contact dunks in a single season. It causes you to dunk at a higher rate over defenders.
Your player’s physicality will drain the energy of your opponent. To do this badge you just need to get physical with your opponent.
You need to execute 100 screens in a single season to get the badge. Once you get you’re more likely to set an effective screen.
One Man Fast Break
Score 100 times on a fast break in a single season to get this one. If you complete it you’ll become a better player when executing a fast break overall.
Try to grab down 70 offensive and 250 defensive rebounds and get this badge. It will improve aggressiveness to chase rebounds.
For this one try to land multiple good shot defenses along with stop fastbreak and good transition defense. Doing so decreases the effectiveness of offensive skills during a defensive matchup.
Charge Card Badge will require you to take seven charges to get it. Once you get it you will be more effective at taking the charge.
Use turbo to fight through screens and unlock the badge. It will allow you to improve your ability to get around screens more easily.
You need to cause a loose ball 50 times to get this badge. If you manage to do it, it will improve your ability to steal from the ball handler.
Will improve defensive awareness around the rim but requires you to Perform 80 Blocks in a single season.
Chase Down Artist
Improves your ability to transition while defending and stop fast breaks but requries you to Perform 25 Chase Down Blocks.
You’ll have to become team’s highest rated player to get the badge. If you manage to do so you get to improve your overall leadership.
Improves capacity to improve in big games.
Players that are very inconsistent – can range from amazing to uterrly useless.
You’ll need the average of at least 7 ppg over 6 straight games to get the badge. Acquiring it will make yourself more likely to be better when coming off the bench.
Make 10 hard and non-flagrant fouls in one season to improve your physicality. After acquiring it you will wreak havoc on the floor with tough and physical play.
To get it you’ll need an average of 5 assists per game over 30 games. Doing so will improve offense of entire team when you are on the court.
You need an average of at least 80 percent of team’s overall minutes over 20 straight games to unlock this badge and not lose much skill when fatigued/injured.
Try and raise your defender discipline to 18 and play at least 30 games in career to unlock the badge. After doing so you help teammates improve awareness and defensive skill.
You’ll need to win a championship to unlock this one making you respond faster to double teams/play during playoffs.
Make your player hot in 7 games in a row to unlock the badge. This badge allows your player to heat up faster than most others.
The player is well liked by teammates.
The player does not get along with teammates.
Legendary Work Ethic
Player works the hardest
All Time Great
Player works hard towards being an all-time great of NBA.
Not selfish and more likely to value team success over self.
Keep it Real
Player deals with criticism better than most others.
Pat My Back
The player enjoys being coddled by teammates and coaches.
Celebrate when the opportunity presents itself to get the badge and be more open about your feelings.
Player is unpredictable – obviously.
The player is more approachable and laidback.
Hall of Fame Badges
Hall of Fame Badges can become yours after you’ve finished dealing with Gold Badges for your player type. Obtaining a Hall of Fame Badge is no joke and it will require days if not weeks to get even a single one.
To unlock a Hall of Fame Badge you will need to do the following:
- Unlock the Bronze, Silver, and Gold version of the Badge for your player type
- Repeat the same thing you did when you were getting the first 3 tiers to unlock the Hall of Fame Badge.
Don’t stress yourself if you cannot obtain these badges just yet. We only managed to obtain 3 so far and many people haven’t even gotten that far! They are the end game content, of course, which means you will need to grind to get to them. All in due time, because in the end your patience will pay off – we guarantee it!
What You Should Know About NBA 2K18 Badges
Well first of all, we’d like to tell you that there are two ways you can obtain the mentioned badges. First – you can follow our simple guide and try your luck and skill on the field. However, we do realize how tedious this can become. Sure winning a few badges can prove fun, but trying to grind them out without enjoying it kind of defeats the purpose of the game. Because of this, we’ve made sure to include a second way.
Taking a second route means you will get them for free. That’s right, once again we’ve managed to find an effective workaround. However, it did take quite a while to do this. Since the process itself is a little bit different that the usual process of our hacking tools. However, there is a guide that will explain everything if you need it to. With this said, we hope you’ve chosen the right path for you. In the end, the only thing that matters is if you had fun, right?

Once again we would like to remind you that acquiring these badges takes time and effort. If you cannot beat one challenge, try something else, don’t dwell on it! We promise, it gets much easier later on in the game. You’ll see and feel your progress in skills as you commit a few hours to the game.
